Chapter Philanthropy & Service

Here at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, we proudly support The Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation and Diabetes Awareness and Education. As stated in our Purpose, serving our communities and contributing to the world’s work are values that each Alpha Gamma Delta sister strives to uphold. Through membership in Alpha Gamma Delta, our sisters have a multitude of opportunities to volunteer on campus and in the local community. During the Spring semester of 2016, our chapter hosted our first "Tackling Diabetes" flag football tournament. The money raised from this event went to the AGD Foundation. The Theta Mu Chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta hosted the eighth annual Mr. and Ms. Greek Pageant in the fall of 2015.

Mr. and Ms. Greek is a school tradition where we hold a pageant for both men and women of the UNCW Greek community. Money is raised through ticket sales, raffles, donations, and sponsorships. The proceeds from Mr. and Ms. Greek each year go to the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation. This year we raised around $1500 through Mr. and Ms. Greek.

Locally, our chapter is also involved with the Wilmington JDRF chapter, where we help set up for and participate in the JDRF One Walk each year. We enjoy participating in community service together, and love supporting every sorority’s philanthropy events!
