Chapter Philanthropy & Service
Alpha Gamma Delta’s philanthropic focus is fighting hunger. One in seven Americans and one in eight Canadians struggle with hunger. It's a cause that knows no bounds. It affects every race, age and community. Including the communities where we are placed. That is why we want to be a part of the solution. Through partnering with national and local organizations, we are able to make an impact on our communities.
We are proud partners of Feeding America and Meals on Wheels. Through these partnerships we're able to provide awareness on a national level while also partnering with local agencies where our collegiate chapters and alumnae chapters/clubs are located. Specifically we have been lucky enough to work with Good Shepard to feed the homeless in our area, as well as partner with local food banks for donation drives and hands on volunteer work.

On campus we raise money through our main fall event: Mr. and Ms. Greek. Mr. and Ms. Greek is a school tradition where we hold a pageant for both men and women of the UNCW Greek community. Money is raised through ticket sales, raffles, donations, and sponsorships. The proceeds from Mr. and Ms. Greek each year go to the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation, which donates money towards fighting hunger.
